Tai Chi Qigong Is Much More Than Just Exercise!
Tai Chi Qigong Is Much More Than Just Exercise!
Initially people start doing Tai Chi Qigong as a form of gentle exercise. But energetically it is much more than that!
Ordinary exercise disperses energy and discards fat, Tai Chi Qigong practice stores Qi and replenishes the body’s energy. Tai Chi Qigong is about ‘being’, exercise is about ‘doing’. Firstly, The movements in level one Yuan Gong form massages the muscles and the lymphatic system which, through these exercises energises the body, which helps to improve the immune system..Secondly, Tai Chi Qigong helps the entire body and mind to relax. Every Qi practice is like giving yourself an acupuncture treatment, for free!
We need a practice that will activate our energy flow and help us grow in awareness. We need to cultivate stillness and tap into OUR eternal wisdom. This is the space where good decisions come from. This is the space from which meaning is derived and change can happen. Break the cycle of depressive, negative thoughts. Train your brain to focus. How? By exercising the attention muscle! Developing the discipline of will allows us to refrain from releasing negative thoughts towards ourselves and others.
The flight or fight stress response system is well tuned to the hunter gatherer lifestyle of the ancient man. However, it’s very poor for handling chronic stress that modern city people face everyday. Tai Chi Qigong is one of the many ways that help the body REALLY relax, all over and all the way deep down. The feeling of qi going over the body is very interesting. Once you feel it, you can tell others with no doubt that it’s really there. Just do it and enjoy the health benefits for the body AND the mind!
The peace and stillness that we can create through regular Tai Chi Qigong practice initiates OUR own healing abilities. The more we can relax the more qi and blood can flow. We do Tai Chi Qigong to create a good, positive state because that’s where transformation happens, the space in between the thoughts. The longer the space…the calmer the mind…realisations and wisdom arise as your growth mindset develops and you become more responsible for your thoughts and actions.
Yuan Gong practice requires deliberate movements in a calm, relaxed state with a positive intention.
Qi is made up of energy, information and consciousness. So our intention is very important. The information we add to our practice is amplified in combination with the movements which adds to why Tai Chi Qigong can be so effective. What is Intention: Desire, desire to change something in your life;. Belief, believe that you can attain that what it is you wish to change and thirdly, Acceptance, allowing yourself to change, accept that you can be that what you aspire to be or change. So deliberate movements, focus and intention combined designed to amplify your intention in life in order for you to uplift your health, happiness, sense of well-being and growth.
Qi’eers everyone J
