Practitioner Profile

Kate completed her Bachelor of Health Sciences and Masters in Physiotherapy at La Trobe University in 2014. Kate’s passion for physiotherapy stems from her love of being physically fit and active and appreciates that her job allows her to help people regain or maintain their function and mobility.

Since graduating Kate has worked in Melbourne in private practice, as well as with sporting teams focusing on injury prevention and management. Kate has worked with a number of Australian Rules Football teams. She was head physiotherapist for the Western Bulldogs VFLW team in 2018. With a keen interest in the biomechanics of the body and sporting injuries, in particular those of the lower limb Kate enjoys finding the cause of people’s pain and developing an appropriate management plan focusing on this.

Kate has a strong commitment to providing patients with the most optimal care that she can give. She has completed further training in Clinical Pilates and has undergone training with Dance Medicine Australia. She enjoys conducting small group strength and conditioning and Clinical Pilates classes and one-on-one sessions tailored to patient’s individual needs. Dry needling is used often within Kate’s practice. She has completed professional development in dry needling.

After spending last year travelling the world with her fiancé before returning to Australia to settle in the Sunshine Coast. Kate loves being outdoors in nature and enjoys running, long beach walks and coffee.
