Why do Tai Chi – Qigong?
“What is the meaning of life, why are we here, what is it all about and why do Tai Chi – Qigong?”
Mystics have a very interesting description of what it is all about. You may or may not want to be a mystic and it may sound a little airy-fairy, some of you might like airy-fairy but it does underly the concept of Qi and how it has an actual practical value in your life.
The mystics say that there is one energy in the universe that everything is made of this one energy. Different particles going in and out of each other; appear out of nothing and go back to nothing. The appearance that there is multiplicity is really just that, an appearance.
The second part is that they also say something that is rather interesting, is that this one energy is aware of itself. That it is conscious, in other words, you have one energy that is everywhere, timeless and everything is made of it and it is aware of itself being everywhere, that there is nothing outside of it, there is nothing that it has to look forward to achieving, or get over having screwed up in the past or whatever, because it is timeless and because of this, because of the fact that it is everywhere, timeless and everything and it knows that, the third part is:
That this one energy is happy! It is peaceful! It is blissful!
Therefore, reality is one energy aware of itself and because it is aware of itself having nothing to get or nowhere to go … it is happy. This one energy is who YOU are, this is your TRUE NATURE…to be HAPPY, to be PEACEFUL, to be LOVE.
Usually someone says ‘that sounds great so why am I anxious, why am I not happy, why an I unsure of myself?’
Well, because our mind is in the way of experiencing who you really are. We are creating a whole other reality with our mind that is other than the idea of one thing being everything. This is where qigong, meditation and other practices come from, to get the mind out of the way so that you can experience directly who YOU are.
This is where qigong comes into it. Tai Chi – Qigong is a series of movements that directly taps into this one energy, draws it into the body so that the body can be rejuvenated, energized and obtain that sense of oneness within you. This is when you can experience your true nature, which is happiness.
How does that sound?
Oh, just one more thing, I would like to extend on that sense of oneness. When we practice qigong we create more of a synchronicity with the left and right brain. Generally in most people one side is dominate over the other, it doesn’t matter which side, but this leads to you seemingly experiencing yourself separate of other things, from other people, from the rest of the universe. You feel distinctions more and more, you see how things are not the same, the extreme of this is anxiousness, depression, people become fearful etc. All these dysfunctional feelings that people suffer from are really symptoms of being in this world of separateness.
When you do something to synchronize the two sides of the brain you become more in balance, which is what qigong training, does. You become more calm, more relaxed and more naturally yourself. You begin to dissolve the distinctions between you, yourself and others and as that happens you feel better and brighter. Your sense of well being increases.
Qigong is a system designed to balance the brain. To get you to the point where you experience the sense of oneness with everything around you and within you. There is a lot of research done on Qigong that you can look up, but what I want to do is teach you the wonderful form of Yuan Gong.
It is so easy to learn, so easy to do and once you learn the form, practising it is free! You can feel the benefits of Qi surprises regularly. If your Qi is scattered then to meditate can be difficult, Yuan Gong form takes you through 4 levels of moving qigong, which gets your Qi (energy) in order, so that you can sit and meditate effectively. Qi training for health, happiness, well being and growth.
