Active Living
Active living
A small-group exercise therapy service (maximum of four participants) delivered by an Accredited Exercise Physiologist. This program is designed for individuals looking to improve their health, strength, and confidence in movement while managing chronic conditions or recovering from injury. It is suitable for those with osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, back or joint pain, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, or balance impairments, as well as individuals preparing for or recovering from surgery, cancer treatment, or periods of de-conditioning.
All participants complete an initial clinical assessment to guide a personalised exercise program. Sessions are closely supervised to ensure correct technique, safe progression, and meaningful results within a structured and supportive group environment.
Programs incorporate strength training, joint loading, balance work, and functional movement, with regular reassessment and progress tracking to support ongoing improvements in health, function, and independence.
If you’ve been unsure where to start, or find traditional gyms or large classes aren’t the right fit, this service provides a personalised, clinically guided approach in a calm and welcoming setting. So you can feel confident you’re exercising safely and effectively.
Active Living 1:1 Assessment
As our Active Living classes are 100% tailored to YOU, it is a requirement that all clients have a one on one exercise physiologist Active Living Assessment prior to commencing the Active Living class. In the assessment we will determine:
– Your health history, injuries, goals, preferences and concerns
– Your exercise physiologist will design your Active Living programme then and there so that you can hit the ground running in your first class.
