Talipes
Positional Talipes, sometimes referred to as clubfoot, is an extremely common condition which can affect one or more of your newborns’ feet. It is named positional talipes as it is thought to be caused by positioning of your baby in the womb. In positional talipes the foot tends to sit down and rest inwards but remains flexible.
Plagiocephaly
Plagiocephaly is an extremely common condition where your baby’s head may develop a flat spot on one side. It can cause the head to appear misshapen. However, this is purely a cosmetic change in the skull shape and does not affect typical development.
Development Hip Dysplasia (DDH)
Developmental Dysplasia of the hip (DDH)is a condition which affects newborns and young children. A normal infant’s hip is not mature when they are born, however, develops into a strong stable joint. The hip joint is a ball and socket joint. It involves the acetabulum, which is a round shaped cup that holds the head of the femur to allow movement of the leg in multiple planes of direction.
