Practitioner Profile

Brigid began her career in Melbourne following graduation from a Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement) at RMIT in 2003 leading into a Bachelor of Clinical Science (Osteopathy) and a Masters of Osteopathy at Victoria University in 2009.

She has worked at a variety of clinics servicing a wide range of clientele across Victoria and now on the Sunshine Coast.

Brigid has followed her passions within her scope of practice furthering her studies in Holistic Lifestyle Coaching Lv 2 through the Chek Institute, Obstetrics (Antenatal and Postnatal) Osteopathy, Pediatric Osteopathy and offers gentle energetic attunement through her hands on treatment.

In 2019 Brigid was offered an opportunity to work in a Pediatric, Antenatal and Postnatal clinic in Victoria where her focus was on facilitating, through bodywork and craniosacral therapy, a smooth transition for babies earthside and into the family unit. There was special focus on pre and post body work for babies with tongue and lip ties. This ignited a huge interest for Brigid and she has continued to practice alongside Kelly Rechtin (Lactation Consultant) and Dr Wei Shen (Wattle Street Dental) to facilitate an ease filled infancy for babies and their mothers.

Brigid holds strong compassion for families of babies experiencing challenges with feeding, colic, reflux, tongue tie and the natural body strain patterns which generate through pregnancy and birth. She has four children of her own with her husband Dave, offering beautiful insight into all the stages and various inflections of pregnancy, birth and postnatal / newborn experiences.

Brigid also feels very passionate about offering a service to help the older population achieve the highest level of functional mobility and minimal pain. It is always an experience for patients to feel heard, have beautiful conversation and have their body tended to in ways that are often neglected for this population.

Outside of work Brigid enjoys Energy Healing, family time, being home and spending time with friends.
