Practitioner Profile
Our principal podiatrist and owner of The Bare and Balanced Podiatrist, Sally, has over a decade of experience working across many areas of podiatry in Australia. Her career has taken her through private practice, community healthcare, high-risk foot services, and academia.
Sally is passionate about sharing her knowledge of the body, lower limb, and foot health with others. She believes in looking beyond the symptoms to find the root cause of a problem, knowing that this approach not only improves wellbeing but also requires care, time, and diligence. She emphasises the importance of caring for your feet from an early age, as this builds the foundation for healthy aging and helps harness the benefits of physical activity throughout life.
With experience in all aspects of podiatry across the lifespan, Sally has a particular interest in paediatric podiatry. She is committed to supporting parents and caregivers with the knowledge and confidence to identify concerns early and seek appropriate care. Sally recognises that feet can reveal a lot about overall health. She values the importance of keeping people pain-free to support general wellbeing and quality of life. Her extensive experience in neurovascular health and complex chronic conditions means she is able to tailor treatment and management plans to each person’s unique needs. Sally is especially passionate
about early detection of neurovascular changes in patients with chronic and complex conditions and works collaboratively with other health professionals to achieve the best outcomes. She enjoys caring for individuals with disabilities, complex needs, and unique challenges, reflecting her commitment to inclusive and supportive healthcare.
Outside of the clinic, Sally is completing a Master’s by research focused on paediatric clients with diabetes, alongside ongoing professional education to further expand her expertise. She has also undertaken additional training in LGBTIQA+ healthcare needs and cultural safety, making her a compassionate ally who strives to provide inclusive, respectful, and effective podiatry care for everyone in the community.
